OUR

EMPHASIS

At Beulah Land Baptist Church we place an emphasis on:

Prayer

Pursuing Holiness

Preaching

World Evangelism

Christ Honoring Music

The Word of GOD

Old Paths

Contending for the Faith

Being in One Accord

Prayer

Prayer is the work of the Church. Prayer is always in place at Church. His House truly is the house of prayer. Prayer is preeminent; we make it a top priority to pray in one accord with each other at Church. Prayer is asking and receiving. (Mark 11:17; Acts 1:14; 2:42; 3:1; 6:4; 12:5; 16:13; 1 Timothy 2:1-8)

Pursuing Holiness

As His bride, we believe in being a pure Church. We place strong emphases on each believer pursuing Holiness in his/her personal life. (Titus 2:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16; 2:9; James 4:8)

Preaching

Preaching the Word of God is a priority in His Church. We make preaching a necessity in every service. Preaching that teaches His Word and brings the listener to a place of making a decision for the Lord. Preaching that expounds on His Word; reproves, rebukes, and exhorts in all long-suffering and doctrine. Preaching that is always uncompromising and old fashioned (2 Timothy 4:1-4)

World Evangelism

The duty of every believer to is to be involved in telling the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and dying world. We have been commissioned by Christ to go out into all the world and preach the gospel. This is our job, our duty, yea, the vehicle God has chosen to get the salvation message of Jesus Christ out. We are very grateful to do our part in world evangelism by spreading the Gospel of CHRIST locally and around the world through missions. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; John 20:21; Acts 1:8)

Christ Honoring Music

It is a privilege to praise the Lord in song. No question about it, our worship involves our singing praises to the King who is worthy (worship simply put is His Worth Ship- He is worthy). Songs that honor Him, songs that are in "psalms and hymns and spiritual songs" (Ephesians 5:19). We do not lower the standard of worship no matter how the world turns. There is a very high standard to worshipping the Holy Lord and we shall strive to keep it high. (Psalm 28:7; 33:3; 108:1; Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 3:16)

The Word of God

Scripture is our only rule of faith and practice. We abide by the Holy Word. The Church is run by the Bible. The Scripture that we hold today is His inerrant, infallible, preserved Word, in its entirety, in the English language, in the King James Bible           (Psalms 12:6-7; Proverbs 30:5; Matthew 4:19; 2 Timothy 2:16; 1 Peter 1:23)

Old Paths

In a changing world and sad to say a changing church world, we keep to the old paths, the old-time way. Keeping to the ancient landmark that the Lord has set up. Being old fashioned is not a scary thing, but the right thing, for He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Proverbs 22:28; 23:10; Jeremiah 6:16)

Contending for the Faith

A compromising church is truly a backslidden church. The road to compromising is the road to Apostasy (turning from what you once believed). No one wants to go that route at first, but at the same time, no one wants to fight for the faith. When a church stops fighting for the faith, they have just taken the road of compromise. It is better to have an empty church than an offended God. (Jude v.3)

Being in One Accord

United together for the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A family place where we are on the same page, in one accord according to the Word of God. (Psalm 133:1; Acts 1:14; 2:1, 46; 4:24)
